The RPCRA registered the project in 1999 with the Our Millennium program founded by Comedian Dan Akroyd. Not only did we want to help beautify a part of our neighbourhood but we wanted to have the Fire Station become part of the community once again.

In the Spring of 2002 we joined with the HC/R CSC Youth Program and a vegetable garden was planted. The Youth group became involved with the planting and care of both gardens. The RPCRA main goal of uniting the Community had been fulfilled. We are happy to announce that the HC/R CSC has readily agreed to continue this project.

As gardens are an evolving and ever growing project, the next step was to pass it on, and it could not be in better hands, to a new organization whose main goal is bringing the Community together.
